Terms of Service
Effective August 24, 2026 (Aug 24 extended the league-payments section to sponsorships and merch and stated that Kolvo's platform fee is not returned on refunds; Aug 13: Streaming now links the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy the API Services require; Aug 8 added the refund policy, league-fee refund and chargeback mechanics, and named Illinois as governing law; Aug 7 identified the operating entity, Kolvo LLC; first published July 19, 2026)
What Kolvo is
Kolvo (kolvo.app and the Kolvo iOS app) helps organizers run rec-sports leagues and tournaments: schedules, live scoring with a game clock, standings, brackets, player stats, public league pages, fan notifications and YouTube livestreams with a broadcast scoreboard. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. Kolvo is operated by Kolvo LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. Contact hello@kolvo.app.
Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your login to yourself and give us accurate account details. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Don't use Kolvo to harass anyone, post unlawful or infringing content, impersonate people or leagues, scrape or overload the service, or attempt to break its security. We may remove content or suspend accounts that do.
Organizer responsibilities
If you run a league on Kolvo, the league is yours. You are responsible for the accuracy of the rosters, schedules, scores and stats you (and your scorekeepers and captains) enter, for having each player's (or their guardian's) consent before publishing their name, jersey number or photo, and for having the rights to any content you stream or upload — including logos, sponsor images and game footage.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put on Kolvo. You give us a license to host, store, display and distribute that content solely to operate the service — for example, showing your league page to fans, rendering the scoreboard over a stream, or sending a score notification. If you delete content, or your account, that license ends for it (public pages you shared may take a short time to clear).
Streaming
Livestreams run through YouTube, on your own channel. Kolvo's broadcasting and stream-embedding features use YouTube API Services, so by using them you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You remain responsible for complying with the YouTube Terms of Service and Community Guidelines for anything you broadcast. Kolvo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google.
Paid plans
Paid plans are one-time purchases that unlock features for a year — they are not subscriptions. Nothing renews or charges automatically: when your year is up, your account simply drops back to the free plan unless you choose to buy another year. Prices may change, but a change never affects time you have already paid for.
Not what you expected? Email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full — unless the plan has already done a season's work in those two weeks: you've broadcast a game, collected registration fees, sold a sponsor slot, or run more than the free plan's one active competition. In that case, and after 14 days, refunds are at our discretion, except where the law requires one. Refunding a plan returns your account to the free plan.
League payments — registration fees, sponsorships, and merch
Some organizers charge registration fees, sell sponsorships, or sell league merchandise through their Kolvo page. In every case the organizer — not Kolvo — is the seller. What a fee covers, whether it is refundable, what a sponsorship includes, and the merchandise itself (its quality, sizing, availability, and handing it over, which happens in person at league events) are between the organizer and the payer. We are not a party to that relationship and don't set or guarantee anything about it.
Because those payments are processed on our platform, the money mechanics work like this: refunds the organizer approves are issued back through Kolvo to the card that paid, in full. When a payment is refunded or charged back, that amount — plus any card-network dispute fee — comes out of the organizer's payout balance or future payouts. Kolvo's platform fee on the original payment is not returned on a refund; it is part of the amount recovered from the organizer. Organizers, not Kolvo, bear the cost of refunds and chargebacks on their league's payments.
Disclaimers
Kolvo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that scores, standings and stats are free of mistakes — organizers and scorekeepers enter that data.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kolvo and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Termination
You can stop using Kolvo and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and we may discontinue the service — if we ever do, we will make reasonable efforts to give organizers notice and a chance to export their league data.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do, and we will flag significant changes on this page. Using Kolvo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
