LEAGUE RULES & REGULATIONS — KSL LEAGUE
1. GENERAL NATURE OF THE LEAGUE
This is a friendly league focused on bringing people together, encouraging social interaction, and strengthening brotherhood and goodwill among all participants.
CODE OF CONDUCT
• The league is conducted in a spirit of mutual respect and sportsmanship. Any behavior outside this framework is strictly prohibited.
• The use of abusive language, insults, or any form of verbal abuse is strictly prohibited on and off the field.
• Full respect must be shown to referees, opposing teams, participants, and spectators.
• Raising voices or protesting referee decisions in an inappropriate manner is not allowed under any circumstances.
• Any unethical behavior (verbal or physical) authorizes the KSL board to take immediate action, including expulsion of the player or team.
• Winning is important — but sportsmanship and fair play are more important. Participation implies acceptance of this principle.
2. LEAGUE FORMAT
• The regular season consists of 7 games per team.
• The top 8 teams in the standings qualify for the playoffs.
• The bottom 2 seeds miss the playoffs.
3. TEAM SIZE
• Team roster — no maximum roster size
• Players on field — 7 players including the goalkeeper
• Minimum to start — 6 players
• Forfeit rule — fewer than 6 players present within 5 minutes of scheduled kickoff = administrative forfeit
4. MATCH DURATION
REGULAR SEASON
• First half: 25 minutes
• Halftime break: 5 minutes
• Second half: 25 minutes
• 5 additional minutes between matches for organization and team entry.
• No extra time is played during the regular season — games may end in a draw.
PLAYOFFS (INCLUDING FINAL)
• First half: 25 minutes
• Halftime break: 5 minutes
• Second half: 25 minutes
• 5 additional minutes after each match for organization.
If a playoff match ends level after regulation, one overtime period of 10 minutes (sudden format as determined by the KSL board) will be played. If the score remains level after overtime, the winner will be decided by a penalty shootout.
5. POINTS SYSTEM (REGULAR SEASON)
• Win — 3 points
• Draw — 1 point each (both teams receive 1 point)
• Loss — 0 points
TIEBREAKER ORDER (if teams are level on points)
1. Head-to-head result
2. Goal difference (goals scored minus goals conceded)
3. Goals allowed
4. Goals scored
5. Drawing of lots by the KSL board
6. SUBSTITUTIONS
• Substitutions are open and unlimited throughout the match.
• Substitutions must be made at the halfway line with
• A substitute player may only enter the field after the substituted player has completely left the field of play.
• Substituted players may return to the field of playduring the match.
7. FOULS AND DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
• General small-sided football rules apply, with constsmanship.
• Reckless tackles or unsporting behavior may result in: yellow card (caution), or two yellow cards = red card (send-off).
• A sent-off player may not return to the match and may not be replaced — the team continues with fewer players.
• The KSL board reserves the right to suspend a playe violations.
8. REFEREEING
• The referee's decisions are final and not subject t
• Surrounding, shouting at, or disrespectfully protesting the referee is strictly prohibited.
• Any verbal or physical misconduct toward the referee may result in cautions, send-offs, or additional sanctions.
9. GENERAL PROVISIONS
• Registration and participation in the league constitute full acceptance of all rules stated herein.
• The KSL board reserves the right to amend or add printerest of organization and fairness.
• Any situation not covered by these rules will be decided by the KSL board, and its decision shall be final.
